What you see on the attached image are not brands. They are logos. These logos are a representation of brands.
What is a brand?
A brand is the collective quality of experiences created by your company, as experienced by clients, staff, partners and other stakeholders. It’s not something you wear or use – it lives in the stakeholder’s head and heart. You don’t own it – they do.
A brand is a promise – The one you make to your clients.
A brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room. And what they say is very much influenced by whether you delivered on that promise or not.
- – Nike’s promise: Inspiration and innovation for every athlete in the world. (And if you have a body, you are an athlete).
- – Google’s promise: To organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.
- – A-Game Business: Progress for entrepreneurs.
- – Tesla: To accelerate sustainable transportation.
What is your company’s brand promise?
